- Customer / you – any person who uses the website, sends a booking or rents equipment.
- Equipment – skis, snowboards, ski boots, snowboard boots, poles, helmets and goggles available for rent.
- Booking – a request sent through the form on the website, by phone or by email, asking us to prepare equipment for a specific date.
- Rental contract – the agreement concluded in our shop when you pick up the equipment.
3. Use of the website
The information on the website is for general guidance. We do our best to keep it accurate and up to date, but errors or changes in prices and availability may occur. The applicable prices and conditions are those confirmed when you pick up the equipment.
The texts, photos, logos and graphics on the website belong to DANSKI SIN SRL or are used with the permission of their owners. They may not be copied or used for commercial purposes without our written consent.
You may not use the website for illegal purposes, send automated messages through it or attempt to interfere with its operation.
4. Online booking
- Booking through the website is free of charge and does not involve any online payment.
- A booking becomes firm once we contact you by phone or email to confirm the equipment, sizes and pick-up time. Until then, it is only a request.
- The total shown in the form is an estimate based on the daily prices. The final price is set at pick-up, depending on the equipment you actually rent.
- We prepare the equipment based on the details you send us (height, weight, shoe size, skill level). Please fill them in correctly, as the binding settings also depend on them.
- If the requested equipment is not available, we will offer you an alternative or let you know that we cannot fulfil the booking.
- [If you do not arrive by ___ on the day of your booking and do not let us know, we reserve the right to rent the equipment to other customers – to be confirmed.]
5. Changing and cancelling a booking
You can change or cancel your booking free of charge at any time before picking up the equipment, by phone at +40 722 342 469 or by email at contact@eskimos.ro. Please let us know in advance so that we can offer the equipment to other skiers.
6. The rental contract
The rental contract is concluded in our shop in Sinaia when you pick up the equipment. At pick-up:
- we check the equipment together and adjust it to you;
- you show a valid identity document: national ID card, passport or driving licence;
- you pay the rental price and receive a receipt or invoice.
Because the contract is concluded on our business premises and the services are provided on a specific date, the 14-day right of withdrawal under Romanian Government Emergency Ordinance no. 34/2014 does not apply (art. 16 letter l). The rental price for equipment and sledges cannot be refunded once you have left the shop.
7. Prices and payment
- Prices are shown in Romanian lei (RON), per day, on the Prices page, and include VAT.
- The daily price applies to the current day, during opening hours, 8:00 – 17:00.
- A full ski set includes skis, ski boots and poles. A full snowboard set includes a snowboard and snowboard boots.
- The child rate applies to skis or snowboards up to 120 cm and ski boots up to EU size 35.
- Payment is made when you pick up the equipment, in cash or by card.
8. Use and return of the equipment
- The equipment must be returned on the agreed day, by 17:00. A late return is not charged as an extra day.
- On request, you can leave the equipment with us overnight and collect it the next morning.
- The equipment may only be used by the person it was adjusted for, for the purpose it was rented for, on marked slopes and trails, in compliance with the rules of the ski area.
- You may not hand the equipment over to other people or change its settings without our consent.
- Normal wear and tear is not charged. For loss, theft or damage caused by the customer, we may charge the cost of repair or replacement, according to the price list displayed in the shop.
9. Our obligations
- To provide you with equipment in good working order, checked, cleaned and adjusted based on your details.
- To replace equipment that does not fit you or is faulty, subject to availability.
- To give you the information you need to use the equipment correctly.
10. Safety and liability
Skiing and snowboarding are sports that involve risks. Please choose slopes suited to your level and follow the slope rules and the instructions of the ski area staff. We strongly recommend wearing a helmet, especially for children.
The bindings are adjusted based on the details you provide. Our liability is limited to the correct performance of the rental services, within the limits set by law. Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer under the applicable legislation.
We are not responsible for circumstances beyond our control, such as the closure of slopes or cable cars, weather conditions or lack of snow. In such cases, the equipment rental price is not refunded.
11. Complaints and dispute resolution
If you are unhappy with anything, please contact us at +40 722 342 469 or contact@eskimos.ro. We review every complaint and reply as soon as possible, within 30 days at the latest.
If we cannot find a solution together, you can contact the Romanian National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC), including through its alternative dispute resolution (ADR) procedure, on the reclamatiisal.anpc.ro platform. Disputes that cannot be settled amicably fall under the jurisdiction of the Romanian courts.
12. Personal data
How we process your data is described in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
13. Force majeure
Neither party is liable for failing to perform its obligations due to force majeure, under the conditions set out in the Romanian Civil Code.
14. Governing law and changes
These terms are governed by Romanian law. We may update them when the legislation or our services change. For bookings already confirmed, the version in force on the date of confirmation applies.
